Classic Lake has facilitated the placement of over $350 million of investment, providing critical financing for over two dozen community and economic development projects from new construction to adaptive reuse and historic rehabilitation across the country. Classic Lake provides supportive services to municipal agencies, real estate and housing developers, small businesses, healthcare and education institutions, fresh grocers, non-profits, and financial services firms, enabling them to bridge capital gaps. Classic Lake also works with developers to increase outreach and hiring of minority- and women-owned businesses to address workforce equity.

Homestead Station - Homestead, FL

The 250,00 square foot mixed use facility will bring entertainment, retail, dining, and a multimodal transit center to the City’s Historic Downtown District. Homestead Station will include 30,000 square feet of retail and dining space, 65,000 square feet of family entertainment center space including 10 movie theaters, 14 lanes of bowling, and 1,000 parking spaces. The City’s new multimodal transit station is connecting to Miami Dade County transit infrastructure expansion projects and is designed to reduce commute times between the City of Miami and the City of Homestead Station while also increasing access to the everglades. Homestead Station will also house the City’s Trolley, a free transportation service for Homestead residents and tourists.

Cathedral Performing Arts Center, Cathedral High School - Los Angeles, CA

Cathedral High School (CHS), established in 1925, is an all-boys high school located in one of Los Angeles’ most economically and socially challenged neighborhoods. Enrollment averages 700 students; 70% Latino, 10% African American, 70% qualify for the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch Programs, and 87% receive tuition assistance. CHS consistently graduates 100% of its seniors, of which 80% are accepted to a four-year university. CHS is developing a $20 million, 48,000 square foot Performing Arts Center and Theater (PAC) to support the expansion of its fine arts, performing arts, and media production curriculum. The PAC will prepare students for opportunities in journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing, and multimedia content production. In addition to the educational outcomes supported by the project, the PAC will provide community residents with professional and career development opportunities and serve as a community resource center for other service providing non-profit and impact agencies.

Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center - Clarksburg, WV

The City of Clarksburg and the Clarksburg Development Authority are rehabilitating the historic Robinson Grand Theater into a 950-seat educational and performing arts center. The $22.6 million renovation project will bring the region and its residents a vibrant, diverse array of productions and programs designed to engage seniors, adults, teens, children, schools, and community organizations. The project reestablishes the theater as an economic, educational, and cultural anchor for the region. The facility will host over 100 events annually and generate over $32 million of economic impact during the first 5 years of operation. In addition to the performances, the theater will offer courses and workshops for youth, teachers, and adults focused on literacy, art, music and acting.

The Lawson Academy is developing a 32,000 square foot educational campus in Houston, Texas. The Lawson Academy educates low-income, minority 6th, 7th and 8th graders from Houston’s 3rd Ward. The new facility includes: 22 classrooms, science laboratories, administrative offices and class prep space, athletic fields and recreational space. The Academy’s new campus allows the school to grow enrollment to 300 students.

Loma Linda University is developing the 150,000 square foot LEED Gold Specialty Care Community Clinic. SAC Health System, a Federally Qualified Health Clinic, will deliver primary care, dental, behavioral health, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and specialty care services. The complex also houses the University’s Gateway College Healthcare Career & Technical Education Program, a collaborative educational program geared towards moving San Bernardino residents from economic dependence to self-sufficiency.

Central Valley NMTC Fund provided financing to Maya Cinemas for the development of a 66,000 square foot, 2,700-seat movie complex in Fresno, California. The theater serves as the key anchor to the Square at Campus Pointe, a multi-phased master-planned development including over 1 million square feet of leasable space for retail, office, a new hotel, and multi-family senior, affordable and market-rate housing units.

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley - Central Valley of CA

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is a Federally Qualified Health Center which provides comprehensive medical, dental and community health services to the medically underserved in the central San Joaquin Valley of California. The organization is developing 28,000 square feet of medical and dental space in the cities of Sanger and Fowler.

Library Plaza - San Fernando, CA

Aszkenazy Development Inc. is a successful development, design, construction, leasing, and property management company based in San Fernando, California. The firm is undertaking the redevelopment of Library Plaza, a multi-tenant retail property located in downtown San Fernando, CA, anchored by the San Fernando Public Library. The project will expand the footprint of the library by 1,500 SF and extend the Library’s lease by another 15 years. The new space will enable the library to deliver new educational programming along with health and wellness programming to the community.  The project will also develop an additional 5,000 SF of retail space expected to be leased to local small business retailers.

Casa Familiar, a 501(c)3, was founded with a commitment to enhance the quality of life for the community through education, advocacy, service programming, housing, art and community economic development. Casa has developed and invested in over 1,100 affordable housing and mixed-used development projects in South San Diego County. It operates five community service centers that provide recreation, education, technology access, and youth development and job training in the San Ysidro community. Annually, Casa serves 8,000-10,000 low-income residents, students, youth, families, seniors and individuals through Social Services, Education and Arts & Culture programming.

Casa is developing the Living Rooms at the Boarder project in San Ysidro’s Historic neighborhood. Living Rooms is a service inclusive, community-oriented, 10-unit affordable housing & economic development project including the adaptive re-use of a vacant dilapidated church. Living Rooms will enable Casa, and partners such as University of California San Diego, to expand the delivery of job training, performing arts, education, and immigration services.  Living Rooms is centrally located along San Ysidro’s cultural arts corridor and will connect the San Diego Trolley Beyer Station to San Ysidro Boulevard.
